Trayectoria artística y profesional Licenciado en Historia moderna y contemporánea por la Universidad Complutense de su ciudad natal, sus comienzos profesionales fueron en la docencia como profesor de Historia en las universidades americanas de St. Jones y St. Paul, y en el Kalamazzo College, ambas de Madrid, así como en el Instituto de Estudios Europeos. También trabajó como traductor: son suyas las versiones españolas de The fable of the bees (La fábula de las abejas), de Bernard de Mandeville, y The garden party (La fiesta del jardín), de Katherine Mansfield.
